Trip Overview

Dudh Kunda trek is a beautiful and relatively easy trek in the Everest region of Nepal. The trek takes you through the serene and untouched landscapes of the Solu region, offering stunning views of snow-capped mountains, lush valleys, and traditional Sherpa villages.

The trek starts from Phaplu, a small town in the Solu region, and takes you through dense forests of rhododendron, oak, and pine trees. As you ascend higher, the landscapes change, and you will find yourself walking amidst alpine meadows and barren hillsides. Along the way, you will pass through several small villages to interact with the friendly locals and learn about their unique culture and traditions.

One of the highlights of the Dudh Kunda trek is reaching Dudh Kunda Lake, a sacred lake for Buddhists and Hindus. The lake is believed to be the abode of Lord Shiva, and pilgrims come here to bathe in its holy waters. The lake's crystal-clear waters reflect the surrounding mountains, creating a picturesque setting that is sure to take your breath away.

The trek also offers fantastic views of some of the highest peaks in the Everest region, including Mount Everest, Lhotse, and Nuptse. The trek is relatively easy in terms of difficulty and is suitable for trekkers of all ages and fitness levels. However, altitude can still be challenging, so it's important to acclimate correctly and take it slow.
